Quest History Reset

Good news for all who had characters before the wipe, can once again get the rewards from the quests.

Just a shame the level restrictions will stop some of us from doing half the quests! However it does let me try out my quest guides :o.

Blog Updates

• Small fixes to quests: renamed quests, corrected rewards and certain quest steps.
• Added levels required for quests based on my experience, corrections may be needed.

The Kill Limit

The kill limit is the number of kills which you can make per day, and to check your daily figure you simply have to type in #kill or #kills. The limit is being lowered quite often at the moment and I am sure it will be until Aendar is satisfied with the figure so that it gives people a fair chance to get xp, but also stops botters and autoers from benefiting as much as they currently do.

This change is definitively for the best while it is possible to bot and auto so I am glad that it is there.

• New page added with boss re-spawn times, due to demand based on the blogs stats. Please request any other info that you want.
• One new quest guide added today and small fixes made elsewhere.
• Links edited + two removed due to old data and unrelated content. If you want your blog or EO website put onto the link list comment on this post with the details.
• Added Google search bar for the blog - unfortunately searching only relates to posts and not my quest pages, hoping this changes in the future.

Nice to see a few updates coming in at the moment, only really logging in myself to do any new quests but is good to see something happening for the first time in 4 years.

And it's back...again

Just a quick post to say that the server is running again, apparently clean of some bugs and such. Also some new quests which I will add to the guides when I get round to them.

Unfortunately levels also reset to 0 but auto level to 4 after killing one thing and all gear still on paperdoll (at least for me).

Server reboot

Everything up and running again for now, seems the server was rebooted about 8/9 hours ago, hopefully stays up this time!

Edit - seems like ghost accounts are already filling up the server. The server status page has 236 showing as online when there's only 152 online at the moment. I recommend logging on and not logging off if you want to play in the near future.

Log-in trouble

So I hear that the server log-in system is being clogged up by a guy called jimmy who wants to gain bot characters to sell.

All I have to say on the matter is,

Please vult-r, sort it out!

Until then, have fun trying to log in as the numbers of those online decreases ever more as more people lose connection or log out and can't get back on.

Once again...

... I am not playing so much, but this time it's not just the game being boring - I have lots and lots of exams coming up! And due to that I won't be posting here much, I'm pretty sure the blog is generally used for the guides anyway and i'm sure they won't need updating any time soon!

If something happens with EO though I will still be around to update the blog with the news or with new guides.

Private Servers

Plenty of them, few actually get anywhere.

I don't want to and i don't plan to play them. But when I see people advertising them with starting items of Oron, Scav and other top end items it makes me think...

I will NEVER play them.

To me, the game isn't just about leveling up, it is about getting rich and getting your own items. Giving items away takes out a whole aspect of the game, one of the few aspects in the game.

So the point of this post, people think giving free items will gain them members, maybe they are right initially, but in the end people will just find the game even more boring than it actually is.

It makes me think

Almost everyone I see on EO is using one hack or the other, some i understand (ghost) but others just don't make the game fair.  However even with that said, if this is just a server to be tested on before being wiped, then all of a sudden it becomes fair that people are using these hacks, does it not?

I don't think it's fair or right for some to use them, when others refuse to use them, but I guess at the end of the day, everyone can make their own choices.

And if the fixs are not made to the game then it is a certainty that these hacks will not only be used but also will become more and more accepted in the community. Right or wrong, what can we do?

Update - ok server seems to be right back up again now, must have been a minor glitch. Possibly a reboot as i can see in global people were complaining of lag before hand, who knows.

Just home and notice the current online is very low (and dropping), but also that I cannot log on.

So I am taking a guess that the server has crashed again, can always hope it is vult wiping it so that he can release the game officially but who knows!

Any info please comment.

Gonna be interesting

I see the server is really gaining in it's members now that the official EO website shows the server status and other figures. Over 150 at a peak tonight and with the server only back up after crashing for a few days, that is a real gain from the consistent 100 before the crash.

It made me thing...

What's gonna happen if Vult actually does show up and we get that wipe thats been talked about?
Surely there will be too much of a backlash now, with the stats showing, people are believing that it is the new 'main'? And with no mention on the website of any other wipe, there is no true warning for those checking purely through endless-online.com.
Or will we just be left again? With a community of cheaters that will not be punished.

Just a few things there to think about, defiantly hope changes are coming.

Prices

So, I'm the kind of person who tries to get everything for myself in EO, been at the Bone Spider spawn alone for a long time now and still no item drop. It's getting to the stage where I want to just buy a DE, but how do i know i true price until i see people selling AND buying the item in global, where they state their price.

I just don't know the price.

So I just keep killing this big spider over and over. And for this reason, I would love to see item prices somewhere. Not sure how it could be done, I know prices can change a lot but am pretty sure most are staying around the same level at least at the moment.

Maybe some sort of broker system could work? Where people can put an item up for sale, at a price and someone else can buy it for that price, as well as being able to compare it to other prices?

I know this won't happen and isn't really something for EO at this time, but it's the kind of thing that stops scams (adds in that middle man) and allows people to buy and sell 24/7.

For now I would definitely say EO lacks the members and some rich person would just buy all of one item themselves and then try and sell them at an extreme price, so it doesn't work, but maybe, just maybe, if the game gets some updates, this could work in the future.

Back to killing the spider I go :D

Server back online

Port 8079 should be working again.

The server works with both game.endless-online.com and test.endless-online.com as server host/ip, but after checking, they lead to the same server.

As well as this, the official EO website was showing server status as online, as well as other figures, however google chrome is not currently showing me these stats but other web browsers are.

Server Down

So, seems it may be down a few more days yet from what I've heard to date.

Going to spend some of my time adding more pages to the blog, with more useful guides and such, hope it can be useful to someone. If not then it's useful to me anyway!

Will post any news about the server if I get any.

Update 3 - Well after a nights sleep, it seems the server is still down, some information on whats going on at Wickedfrosts' site in relation to EO as a whole. Could be related.
Update 2 - Thank you Azareil for possible events - "The server does seem to be down, people are saying it might be DDOSING. Or the mysterious admins, whoever they might be could be updating or changing the game."
Update 1 - Reading one person saying the same on the EO page on facebook but that is all I can find to date.

Not sure if it is or not, but can't connect to the server at the moment, could be because of me messing around with some things last night, but defiantly worked earlier for me. So gonna see if I can get any more details and will update here if I do.

Seriously?

Just on EO, decided to follow global chat for a bit, and something came up that interested me.

A link to a 'new' Endless Online blog being promoted for new players. Decided to be a bit nosy and check it out.

Initial opinion, it's alright, be good once more content is added. But then, when I look at the links I immediately see 'EO Trainer' and on this page directly is the download for this software.

Don't get me wrong, I know people do it, and I know it isn't being stopped, but seriously, promoting it to new players of all people.

To me a game should be played fairly, and for the fun of it. And to me, cheating in any way is just taking the fun right out of it, not only for those who don't cheat, but for the player them self.

Well anyway, I'm sure this guys new blog will get more views than mine due to his promotion, and probably more people will download the trainer than take notice of this post. But I really do hope, that soon Vult could do us a favour, and get some guardians and light guides going to help clean up the community.

Quests quests quests..

Well getting through the ones I can, and getting levels as I go, but still want to do more.

So any requests for features to be put on the blog, please post in the comment box, have seen some of the searches that have led people to my blog and will look to expand soon!

Good and Bad

So far then I've been called a newb by people with good gear...

But also been given items to help me out from passers by!

It's quite amazing how people differ so much. But also is very nice to see that there are people out there who want to help, and helping those who don't beg or ask them for the items.

Really found it quite surprising - well anyway, I'm continueing to work through quests, try and get some more gold in the bank and slowly level myself up. Really wish I could get my good old character back!


On a final, and a different topic. Heard some rumors about this server being wiped once bugs are cleaned out? For a main server to come live (this meaning to be the test). It definitely seems likely, but only if Vult gets something done, which unfortunately means it would probably be in the distant future when everyone has settled on this server...

But lets just see what happens on that, hopefully we will hear more on the official EO website itself.

Starting off again

With all the quests available to get up to level 4, i really thought things were going well, other than the extra kills needed after the quests it was done quickly and smoothly.

But what I forgot, is that I'd then have to get to level 5 on sheep, just sheep, and being out of health potions really doesn't help this cause!

This could be a long trek to level 5, and this definitely an area of the game that needs updating, with some quests for sheep kills or something else to help you along the way!

Well...

Got into it a bit today! Added a number of quests - mostly just the starter ones though, hopefully will get more there as I get them done.

Also got a few new features on the sidebar on the right, nice lil comment box which hopefully won't get abused too much...(here comes the abuse!) As well as a facebook and twitter button to keep with the times :)

Anyway, more likely to be updating my quest section than anything at the moment so don't expect many posts unless things start to happen in the world of EO!

Problem fixed

Going to look at putting a few quest walkthroughs up myself based on the ones I have done since the server has been back online anyway!

It's definitely what is in demand from searches that lead to this blog.

Edit - got a few starter ones up, hope to do more soon too, feedback appreciated.

Few problems...

Getting the blog working correctly in its new form, trying to add a few pages and such but blogspot won't let me atm!

Seems it's a common problem right now though but hopefully be fixed soon.

Endless Online is Back?

Well been checking EO again recently, and the server is online but is through an alternative port. This can be entered through the 'setup endless online' file and is 8079.

It would be nice to see if the game can be improved a little bit and have more active mods, so gonna keep watching things and see what happens.

Anyway just here to post this news and play around with what the blog looks like and such, will do more if things start happening again.
